A message from the Club President of the Rotary Club of George Town

Welcome to the Rotary Club of George Town where you will meet friendly, vibrant and interesting people from your local community.
Our dynamic club is a part of Rotary International, which values and supports the community locally, nationally and across the world. Our club’s six main areas of focus are Basic Education and Literacy, Economic and Community Development, Maternal and Child Health, Youth Service with a final emphasis on Water and Sanitation.
Our members are of mixed gender, come from a wide range of backgrounds and represent the wider corporate, business and members of the community from our beautiful area of East and West Tamar.
We encourage diversity, foster new ideas, working together to make a difference and most of all we have a passion for and enjoy what we are doing.
We offer a variety of interesting topics at our meetings, Rotary programs for our youth, the elderly and disadvantaged including friendships with fellow Rotarians. We promote families, work commitments then Rotary work and sharing fun times together.
With our 60th anniversary rapidly approaching towards the end of 2016 we are looking for new members to join our club. If you are wanting an opportunity to get more involved in your local community, then why not come to one of our meetings on the second and fourth Wednesday night at The Cove at 6.30 to 7.30pm . The Cost is $22.50 for a meal, please phone the Centre for a reservation.
If you are a visiting Rotarian we would be delighted to have you!
In Rotary Service,
President Graeme Johns
